EmpiriQuant is an independent publication launched by Torin Bakos in June 2025.

Origin & Concept:

Science and mathematics have been a passion and fascination of mine for as long as I can remember, so when I was brainstorming catchy names for this site, a combination of the words empirical and quantitative seemed to fit the bill. 

EmpiriQuant serves as a venue to showcase my explorations across a broad range of topics with a focus on a rigorous, empirically grounded, and quantitatively driven framework. 

I aim to be as transparent as possible with the process used in each article by ensuring proper citations are included for my references and data sets, and that, when possible, the code and/or spreadsheets used in my analysis are available to download and audit.
